Garry joined St Albans Band on Eb Bass in mid-2005 and following the retirement of Len Smith in January 2006 took over the position of Principal Eb Bass from Steve Cook. Garry played for many years in the band of Enfield Salvation Army under the leadership of James Williams and has much experience in the brass banding field. 

Garry is currently the Band's Bandmaster.
