St Albans City Band have announced details of their Christmas engagements including a number of days of carolling bringing Christmas cheer to the people of Hertfordshire - listen out for us, we could be coming to a place near you!
The Band's Christmas engagements embrace a wide variety of different areas of the community - the two formal engagements the band has are on Friday 9th December when they will be playing at the Butterwick Centre, Hill End Lane, St Albans and Thursday 15th December when they will be playing at the Radlett Centre, Radlett for the Radlett Rotary Club Christmas Concert. Both events will feature a wide variety of Christmas music, and the Radlett event will also feature other items with a Christmas flavour including local choirs and of course, Mr Nigel Rogers with a selection of Christmas songs from yesteryear. More details are available at : www.radlettcentre.co.uk
If carols in a less formal setting are more your flavour, the band will be doing plenty of that this year! Apart from playing at the switching on of the Abbots Langley Christmas lights on Thursday December 1st and the Mayor's Carols outside the Alban Arena in St Albans on the 18th December the band will also be putting in appearences at the Sainsbury's / Marks and Spencer superstore at London Colney on a number of days which are : Sunday December 4th, Saturday / Sunday December 17th & 18th, Wedensday December 21st and Saturday December 24th. We hope we will be able to relieve the stress of doing the Christmas shopping with a few carols - both old favourites and maybe a few you haven't heard before. If you see us there come up and say hello!
