 Ken Smith has a link with St Albans Band going right back to 1909 when his Grandfather, Joe Smith joined the band on Cornet. Ken's Father, Les Smith was an Eb Bass player in the band from the 1940's until the early 1980's. Ken himself joined the band in the mid-1960's on Cornet and played until the mid-1980's when he took a break for a number of years before rejoining in mid-2004 to play Baritone.
